This neat and adaptable monopod from Benro offers a steadying hand to filmmakers looking for some extra help without the inconvenience and time consuming set-up of a tripod.
Monopods shouldn’t need any introduction: a single leg that’s simply pushed into the ground, the downward pressure taking away potential shake. This model from Benro, however, has one extra trick up its sleeve: it comes with three quickly deployed mini feet at the bottom, which add greatly to the overall stability of the product without increasing the weight or the set-up time.
Aimed specifically at filmmakers, the A48FDS4 comes with an S4 fluid head, which features an independent pan lock that allows you to pan smoothly without having to swing the whole monopod round. It’s capable of handling cameras up to 4kg in weight, so larger DSLRs and the likes of the RED Epic won’t be a problem. It can rise to a height of 174.1cm, with the legs being raised and lowered by the use of easily managed flip lock levers.
Compact and flexible, the Benro A48FDS4 will be the ideal companion for those looking for some lightweight, extra stability.
