The Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS) is gearing up for its 2024 edition, promising a dynamic showcase of creative excellence in the broadcast media, production, and technology industries.
Scheduled for May 15th to 16th at Olympia London, MPTS aims to deliver an essential and accessible programme featuring a wide array of speakers, content, and surprises.
This year’s event will spotlight emerging technologies with the introduction of the AI Forum and the Media Technology Conference, presented in collaboration with SMPTE UK.
Over 250 speakers are set to grace eight theatres, offering keynote presentations, masterclasses, panel discussions, and educational sessions.
According to Charlotte Wheeler, Event Director, MPTS 2024 boasts an unparalleled speaker lineup, reflecting the depth and diversity of the UK’s creative industries.
Key highlights include a Director’s Masterclass featuring prominent directors, insights into factual programming with industry experts, discussions on sound design and film editing, and a deep dive into virtual production techniques.
Additionally, the event will explore the integration of AI and machine learning in content creation and distribution, with sessions delving into workforce implications, necessary skills and training, and ethical considerations.
The Media Technology Conference Leaders Day, headlined by Simon Farnsworth, CTO of ITV, will dissect ITV’s digital transformation strategy and examine the current state of the broadcast industry.
Wheeler emphasises that MPTS remains committed to providing free access to all attendees, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration across the industry spectrum.
