Sigma unveils new lenses, camera and brand revamp

Posted on Feb 25, 2025 by Pro Moviemaker

Sigma has announced two new lenses, a full-frame mirrorless camera and a refreshed brand identity all in one day

Sigma has introduced a range of new products alongside a revised visual identity. The launch includes three lenses aimed at different segments of the market, a minimalist full-frame mirrorless camera, and an updated brand design.

Sigma 300-600mm F4 DG OS | Sports

The 300-600mm F4 DG OS | Sports is an ultra-telephoto zoom designed for sports and wildlife photography. It features high-speed autofocus driven by an HLA motor, 5.5 stops of optical stabilisation, and a magnesium alloy body with thermal insulation paint.

The lens construction consists of 28 elements in 21 groups, including FLD and SLD glass elements to minimise aberrations. It will be available in L-Mount and Sony E-mount from April 2025.

Covering focal lengths from wide-angle to super-telephoto, it includes high-speed autofocus via an HLA motor, 6 stops of stabilisation at the wide end, and a 1:2 macro capability at 70mm.

The lens is compatible with L-Mount, Sony E-mount, Fujifilm X Mount and Canon RF Mount, the first of which will roll out from April 2025.

Sigma has also introduced the BF, a full-frame mirrorless camera with a 24.6MP sensor. The camera features a unibody aluminium design, pressure-sensitive haptic buttons, and 230GB of internal storage.

Additional features include 6K video recording, a hybrid autofocus system supporting subject detection, and 13 built-in colour modes. The BF will be available in black and silver from April 2025.

New brand identity

Finally, the company has also unveiled a rebrand. The company has updated its logo, box designs and colour palette, saying it “celebrates our technical precision and manufacturing excellence with a nod to the Japanese elegance and soulfulness that underpins our design philosophy.”
