The FUJINON XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II lens is 37% lighter, with enhanced image quality, video features, and weather resistance, perfect for photographers and videographers

Fujifilm has announced the FUJINON XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II, a high-performance, lightweight zoom lens tailored for its X Series mirrorless cameras.

This updated model is approximately 37% lighter than its predecessor, weighing just 410g. Despite its compact form, the lens promises outstanding imaging quality and versatility across a range of focal lengths, from wide-angle 16mm to mid-telephoto 55mm, with a constant F2.8 aperture for sharp, bright images and beautifully smooth bokeh.

Optimised for both photography and videography, the XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II incorporates new features for enhanced video shooting, including an “Aperture Click Switch” that enables smooth aperture adjustments for natural brightness transitions, making it ideal for content creators. Fujifilm has also improved focus breathing control, ensuring stable framing during focusing—a valuable addition for video work.

Built with durability in mind, the lens includes 12 sealing points for dust, moisture, and cold resistance, and a fluorine-coated front element for easy cleaning. High-speed autofocus driven by a linear motor provides near-instant focus at 0.02 seconds, capturing action effortlessly.

Available at a retail price of £1,149, the FUJINON XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II will be offered through Fujifilm retailers, the FUJIFILM House of Photography in London, and online.
