Posted on May 25, 2024 by Pro Moviemaker

Latest addition to X Series, the X-T50 Mirrorless Camera boasts 40.2 megapixel sensor and enhanced user experience

Fujifilm has introduced the Fujifilm X-T50, a new mirrorless digital camera that expands the popular X Series lineup.

The X-T50 combines high image quality, innovative features, and a lightweight design, aiming to cater to both amateur and professional photographers. It will be available in black, silver, and charcoal silver.

Key Specifications and Features:

  • High-Resolution Sensor: The X-T50 is equipped with a 40.2 megapixel X-Trans™ CMOS 5 HR sensor and the latest X-Processor 5 image processing engine. This combination delivers exceptional image quality and high-resolution photos with a high signal-to-noise ratio.
  • Compact and Lightweight: Weighing approximately 438 grams, the X-T50 is designed for portability without compromising performance. Its compact form makes it an ideal choice for on-the-go photography.
  • Film Simulation Dial: A new addition to the X Series, the Film Simulation Dial on the top plate allows users to easily switch between 20 different Film Simulation Modes, including the new REALA ACE, offering a wide range of colour tones directly from the camera.
  • Advanced Autofocus: The X-T50 features an AI-based subject detection autofocus system, capable of recognising animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, and more. This ensures precise and quick focus, even with fast-moving subjects.
  • In-Body Image Stabilisation: The 5-axis in-body image stabilisation provides up to 7 stops of compensation, making it easier to capture sharp images in low-light conditions or while shooting handheld.

Enhanced Video Capabilities:

The X-T50 supports 6.2K/30P video recording with tracking autofocus, delivering high-quality video footage. The AUTO mode lever simplifies the shooting process by automatically adjusting settings to match the scene, ensuring optimal results for both stills and video.

Design and Usability:

The X-T50 features a rounded body design with a new grip for improved handling and stability. The camera also includes a pop-up flash and a 1.84 million-dot tiltable rear LCD monitor, enhancing the user experience in various shooting scenarios.

Availability and Pricing:

The Fujifilm X-T50 will be available from June 17, 2024, at a suggested retail price of £1,299 including VAT. It will be sold through authorised Fujifilm retailers, the Fujifilm House of Photography in London, and the Fujifilm online store. Additionally, the X-T50 will be offered in two kit options:
