CVP helps to get the industry back to work

Initiatives launched to support Film and TV communities

CVP is looking to play a large part in helping the industry get back to work as production restarts post-lockdown. From flexible finance packages to the reopening of its showrooms to inspirational podcasts, it has put together a range of measures to help reinvigorate business and get content flowing again.

“We’ve been really active during the lockdown making sure the business is the best that it can be,” comments CVP Sales Director, Jon Fry. “We are delighted to be serving our customers again. Our priority, now more than ever, is to find ways to support the industry, playing our part in stimulating the market and helping the industry get back on its feet as quickly as possible.”

To that end, the company has put together a range of flexible finance options to help people invest in new kit, including 24 month 0% finance deals on a range of products from manufacturers including ARRI, Canon, Fujinon, SmallHD, Teradek and more. Meanwhile, for those looking to sell their existing kit, CVP’s Pro Repairs team can test and evaluate a wide range of products and supply a warranty to help provide customer peace of mind.

CVP has reopened the doors of its Fitzrovia showrooms on an appointment-only basis allowing people to have a safe meeting space and to get hands on with the kit to build and test configurations once again. A range of social distancing and deep cleaning protocols are in place to ensure everyone’s safety.

A new podcast has launched to share the on-set stories that help connect the production community. Josh Allen is the host of the Still Rolling Podcast, and dissects what really happens on set, explores the paths that lead there, and brings guests out of their shell with his regular feature ‘On Set Confessions’. Guests are from a variety of roles across the film industry, and the podcast is available from all the usual outlets including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

And, of course, CVP maintains its regular first-class services;

  • Engineering continues to provide unrivaled servicing, repairs, and stocks a large selection of spare parts, reflecting the company’s role as a Certified Service Centre for many key brands.
  • The popular online versions of its seminars and workshops via its Common Room platform will continue.
  • CVP Technical Consultants are available to provide video demos of kit, and advice on all aspects of a solution or technology to suit each client’s needs — before, during, or after purchase

“With new rules on set production everything will feel very different, but we’re here to help and support the industry,” says Fry. “2020 has been a difficult year, but as a community we have shown great strength and we hope to play our part in ensuring that the year finishes on a high.”
