New Year - New Tamron

The recently announced Tamron 20mm OSD for Full-Frame Sony E-mount is nearly here - the lens will be available from Tamron stockists in early January

This lens supports important features for Sony users such as Fast Hybrid AF, Direct Manual Focus (DMF) and Eye AF as well as being compatible with in camera lens corrections and firmware upgrades.

This lens has been designed to deliver great image rendering and improved operation with fast F2.8 apertures for amazing bokeh in the background when shooting wide open. The lens also incorporates Tamron’s Moisture-Resistant construction to protect it against inclement conditions as well as having Fluorine coated front elements to help protect against dust, oil and water.

The wide angle characteristic of the lens is further enhanced by the 1:2 macro facility making it a very versatile lens for landscapes, street photography, interiors and close-up photography.

Careful planning has created a design where this lens has the same 64mm length as the recently launched 24mm and 35mm OSD lenses, all three lenses have excellent on camera balance and the same 67mm filter thread sizes. This is convenient as the same sized Polarizing and ND filters can be used as those used on the Tamron 28-75mm RXD and 17-28mm RXD lenses for Sony E Mount full frame cameras.

The suggested retail price is £399.99 including VAT.
