Samyang launches new “Tiny-Series” Lens: AF 45mm F1.8 FE

Samyang Optics is adding to its Auto Focus line-up, by introducing the new AF 45mm F1.8 FE. This multi-purpose lens is designed for Sony Full-Frame E-mount cameras and weighs just 162g (without lens hood and front cap).

Samyang is introducing the extremely versatile AF 45mm F1.8 FE, with its fast aperture and minimum object distance of just 45cm. Vignetting, distortion and chromatic aberration are extremely well-controlled, making this an ideal lens for photographing travel scenes, children and animals.

Samyang has completed a new lens design, optimised for high-resolution mirrorless cameras, using modern technology and special lens elements. The AF 45mm F1.8 FE offers a whole new user experience, with premium results. High resolution and compact design. Clear, sharp images from the centre of the frame, right to the edges.

The AF 45mm F1.8 FE uses 7 lens elements in 6 groups, including two ASP (Aspherical) optics and 1 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) element, to control any aberrations or distortion, for consistent, even illumination and sharpness. The rounded 9-blade diaphragm, coupled with the bright F1.8 maximum aperture produce pleasing out-of-focus bokeh, especially when working with shallow depth of field techniques.

Samyang lenses are known for their gentle, warm colour rendition and this is becoming a unique and loved characteristic of their lenses. The new AF 45mm F1.8 has plenty of character, along with its enhanced Auto-Focus speed and superior resolution. It’s a perfect lens for enthusiastic photographers who are interested in photographing anything from children to animals, landscapes to nature.

The AF 45mm F1.8 FE is Samyang’s 7th Sony E mount Auto-Focus lens and should be available by the end of May 2019
