Atomos reveals exciting updates at NAB Show 2025

The video equipment specialists, Atomos, has announced a series of updates at the NAB Show 2025 in Las Vegas. From PTZ cameras to cloud solutions, here’s a look at four key releases that grabbed attention.

A-Eye PTZ cameras

Atomos has unveiled its new A-Eye series, a range of AI-enhanced PTZ cameras designed for hands-free, multi-camera production. This update includes three new models: the A-Eye 4K-20X, the A-Eye 4K-12X and the A-Eye HD-20X.

Featuring real-time AI-powered tracking and advanced PTZ motion, the A-Eye cameras automatically follow a subject with fluid precision. These cameras also offer integration into existing workflows with NDI|HX3, HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB, and IP streaming capabilities.

Pricing starts at $1,399 for the A-Eye HD-20X, which is the perfect camera for education. The A-Eye 4K-12X is perfect for creators with a budget of $1,899. Alternatively, the A-Eye 4K-20X is priced at $2,299 for professional productions.

TX-RX system

Introducing the TX-RX, a versatile 4K wireless video transmitter and receiver system designed to enhance on-set video monitoring. Whether on location or in the studio, the TX-RX offers low-latency HD-SDI and 4K HDMI video transmission over 5G Wi-Fi, allowing for wireless video monitoring over long distances.

This system can transmit up to 4Kp30 over HDMI and 1080p60 over SDI, with a range of up to 300 metres and minimal delay, making it ideal for professional video setups. It can also connect to up to four receivers at once, allowing for multi-camera shoots and larger productions.

The system is compact and designed for ease of use, offering multiple power options, including DC input, USB-C and compatibility with NP-F batteries.

The Atomos TX-RX set is available for $599, while additional RX receivers are priced at $349 and TX transmitters at $449. Pre-orders are available now with shipments starting June 2024.

StudioSonic headphones

Video and audio content creators, engineers and DJs will love StudioSonic from Atomos. As a pair of professional over-ear headphones, StudioSonic is designed to capture dialogue, edit sound or mix music.

Featuring large 50mm drivers and a wide frequency range, StudioSonic offers clear and accurate sound. Importantly, the headphones are easy to use without needing external amplifiers.

Built for comfort and durability, the headphones have a closed-back design and memory foam earpads. They also feature swivel ear cups for one-ear monitoring, making them more versatile.

Priced at $199, StudioSonic is available for pre-order now, with shipping starting May 2025.

ATOMOSphere cloud-based platform

To round up the updates, Atomos has announced the release of ATOMOSphere, a new cloud-based production platform designed for creatives. This platform allows you to upload, review, share and collaborate on media from anywhere, regardless of how you’re working with files.

With a free ATOMOSphere Starter Plan, users will get 20GB of cloud storage, exclusive perks and access to the latest updates. For those with cloud-connected Ninja or Shogun devices, footage can be instantly uploaded as it is recorded.

Some key features of this platform include the ability to register and manage all Atomos gear from one place. ATOMOSphere also includes paid features like cloud-based editing, transcription and intelligent media searches.

ATOMOSphere is available now. A free firmware update (AtomOS 11.15.00) is also available to enable direct uploads from supported Atomos devices.
